When most people think of flying cars, they think of how much easier life would be if they had one. But do people ever think of all the disadvantages flying cars may bring onto ones life?
TIME IS MONEY AND MONEY IS TIME
A flying car is supposed to be a plane and car put together into one super vehicle. This means that you would not only have to buy regular fuel, you would also have to purchase kerosene plane fuel which put together would be super costly. As well, not only would you need the small amount of education it takes to drive a car, you would also need the extra education to fly a car in the air like a plane which would be much more money and time. Finally, the most obvious con to flying cars is the cost of one. At a starting price of hundreds and thousands of dollars, flying cars are just a bit more expensive then regular cars. Just a tad.
DANGER DANGER
On a daily, it can be difficult to drive to work, the store, or your school thanks to mother nature's surprises. Imagine if you were in the air. If people end up in a situation where they are stuck in a storm and fail to control their car, they are more likely to crash. Not only would this put the driver and their passengers in danger, it would also put people on the ground in danger since the driver wouldn't know where to land. There are already enough car crashes as there is now on the ground, and although more people flying would create less chaos down there, there would now be more traffic in the sky which could easily become a potentially dangerous problem.
IT WAS AN ACCIDENT
In our society today, we have major problems with drinking and driving, texting and driving, driving impaired and many other multi-tasking driving situations. Imagine taking all of these problems up in the air. This would definitely cause the number of accidents to increase and be the type that are hard to recover from since they happened in the air. And as mentioned before, this will be a danger to those in the air and those on the ground who the vehicle could potentially hit.
